Academy ROKAF F-15K Slam Eagle 1/72 MCP – 12554

Product Description

Skill Level: Academy skill level 4 of 5
Best For: Builders who want a detailed modern F-15K that can be built without glue or paint, or finished the traditional way.

The Academy ROKAF F-15K Slam Eagle (12554) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the Republic of Korea Air Force's multi-role fighter. It is part of Academy's MCP (Multi-Colored Parts) line: the parts are molded in color, so no painting is needed, and the kit assembles without glue. You can still paint and glue it the traditional way if you prefer.

The F-15K is Korea's version of Boeing's F-15E Strike Eagle, a long-range multi-role fighter built to carry heavy air-to-ground loads while keeping the Eagle's air-to-air ability. Academy's kit features precisely engraved panel lines and rivet detail, a detailed cockpit and landing gear, plus an external fuel tank, air-to-air missiles, air-to-surface missiles and a targeting pod.

Cartograf decals and stickers are included, with four ROKAF marking options: F-15K 001, F-15K 029, F-15K 047 as flown at Red Flag-Alaska, Eielson AFB, on October 11, 2016, and F-15K 061.

Beginner-Friendly Note: Academy rates this kit 4 out of 5, so expect plenty of small parts even without glue or paint. Cut parts from the sprue carefully, clean up the attachment points so everything fits snugly, and follow the instructions step by step. Decals give a sharper finish than stickers if you're ready to try them.
