The Dragon 1/35 10.5cm StuH.42 Ausf.E/F depicts the German Sturmhaubitze 42, a self-propelled howitzer developed from the StuG III chassis to provide heavier fire support for German armored and infantry units. The vehicle was armed with the 10.5cm StuH.42 L/28 howitzer and was based on StuG III Ausf. E/F chassis. Early production began in 1942.

Dragon's 6834 kit is based on the company's detailed 1/35 StuG III tooling but incorporates new components specific to the StuH.42. These include a retooled superstructure roof and fighting compartment, a larger-caliber howitzer, and newly tooled front fenders made from photo-etched metal for a realistic scale appearance.
