Fine Molds 1:35 IJA Fire Support/Tank Destroyer Type 2 Ho-I
The Fine Molds 1:35 IJA Fire Support/Tank Destroyer Type 2 Ho-I accurately recreates one of the Imperial Japanese Army's rarest armored fighting vehicles of World War II. Developed on the Type 1 Chi-He medium tank chassis, the Type 2 Ho-I was designed to provide infantry fire support while also engaging enemy armor using a modified 75mm Type 99 tank gun capable of firing shaped-charge ammunition. Approximately 30 vehicles were produced beginning in 1944, with most remaining in Japan for homeland defense.
Fine Molds captures the distinctive appearance of the Ho-I with finely detailed suspension, accurately reproduced riveted and welded armor, and a detailed fighting compartment exterior. The kit features link-and-length tracks for realistic detail while remaining straightforward to assemble, making it an excellent addition to any collection of Japanese World War II armor.
