Italeri 1/35 Carro Armato L6/40 – 6553

The Italeri 1/35 Carro Armato L6/40 depicts Italy's Fiat L6/40 light tank, one of the primary Italian reconnaissance and infantry-support tanks used during World War II. Kit 6553 features detailed plastic components and a photo-etched fret for adding finer scale detail to the finished model.

The L6/40 entered Italian service in 1941 and saw combat in North Africa, Russia, the Balkans, and Italy. The tank was powered by a 70 hp SPA 18D engine and reached a maximum speed of approximately 42 km/h. Its main armament consisted of a 20mm Breda cannon with a coaxial machine gun. Following the Italian armistice, many L6/40s were captured by German forces and continued in service.

With a finished length of approximately 11cm, this 1/35 scale kit makes a compact but highly detailed addition to a WWII Italian armor collection.
