The Italeri M4A1 Sherman with U.S. Infantry (6568) is a 1/35 scale plastic model kit of the M4A1 Sherman (76mm). It comes with 10 U.S. infantry figures, new glueable rubber T54E1 tracks, super decals for 3 versions and a color instruction sheet. The finished model is 16.7cm (about 6.6 in.) long.

The M4 Sherman medium tank was the primary U.S. tank of World War II. Built in huge numbers and many variants, it formed the backbone of American armored forces. The first version produced on a wide scale was the M4A1, recognized by the rounded edges of its fully cast upper hull and its rounded turret. The Sherman entered combat with the U.S. Army in 1942, armed with a 75mm gun that was replaced on the later M4A1 by the high-velocity 76mm gun. Its Continental R975 gasoline engine gave it good performance over all types of terrain, and it was reliable, inexpensive and easy to produce in great numbers.

With the tank and a full squad of infantry in one box, it is easy to build a complete scene, like the infantry riding into a liberated Italian city shown on the box art.

Beginner-Friendly Note: Glue the rubber tracks into a loop and let them set before fitting them around the drive sprocket and idler. Paint the figures separately and add them last, using the color instruction sheet as your guide.
