Product Description
The Liang Model LIANG-0231 Center Driller is a precision alignment tool designed to help modelers drill straight, centered holes into the end or side of plastic round rod. It holds the round material securely while a guide positions the drill bit for accurate drilling.
The Center Driller accommodates 0.4mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm, and 1.0mm drill bits and is designed for round-bar material measuring approximately 0.8mm to 3.0mm in diameter. It can be used to drill both the end face and side of round rod, making it particularly useful for scratch building, detailing, and creating small-scale structural components.
The tool is especially useful when a conventional pin vise or drill bit tends to wander on a small cylindrical part. The included guides help keep the drill aligned as you create the hole.
Drill bits are not included.
Beginner-Friendly Note: For best results, secure the round rod firmly in the tool and use light pressure while drilling. Practice on scrap material first when working with very small diameters.
