Tamiya 1/35 Israeli Tank Tiran 5 Plastic Model Kit – 35328

The Tamiya 1/35 Israeli Tank Tiran 5 is a detailed plastic model kit of Israel's modified version of the Soviet T-55. After capturing T-55 tanks during the 1967 Six-Day War, the Israeli Defense Forces modified them with upgraded armament and additional equipment for continued service. Many Tiran 5 tanks received a 105mm main gun, additional machine guns, and distinctive external storage equipment.

Tamiya faithfully reproduces the Tiran 5's distinctive low-profile hull and rounded turret, along with the modified main gun, M2 heavy machine gun, commander and loader machine guns, and mortar mount. Additional details include the turret storage box, rear baskets, external water tanks, and a nylon-mesh engine grille.

The kit includes two torso figures representing the commander and loader, along with markings for an 1980s configuration. The completed model measures approximately 252mm long and 96mm wide, making it an impressive addition to a 1/35 scale armor collection or Cold War military diorama.

Beginner-Friendly Note: Tamiya kits are known for straightforward assembly, but this Tiran 5 includes numerous small exterior details and a detailed suspension and track system.
