Important: X-21 Flat Base is not intended to be used by itself as a clear coat. Applying it directly to a model will result in a frosted or milky finish. Instead, mix it with Tamiya gloss acrylic paints before application. Tamiya recommends a maximum 1:1 mixing ratio with gloss paints; using more Flat Base than this can produce a chalky appearance.

Application Tips
