The Academy U.S. Army M36B1 GMC (13279) is a 1/35 scale plastic model kit of the M36B1 Gun Motor Carriage, a WWII U.S. Army tank destroyer. It reproduces the vehicle that combined the 90mm gun turret with the hull and chassis of the M4A3 medium tank.

The M36 series mounted a powerful 90mm gun in an open-topped turret, and the M36B1 placed that turret on a Sherman hull, giving it a familiar look with a much harder-hitting gun. Academy includes newly molded parts for the engine deck, VVSS suspension and other accessories, plus photo-etched parts, T48 tracks and 2 marking options. It makes a great companion to Sherman and late-war U.S. armor builds.

Beginner-Friendly Note: Plan your painting before you start. Many sub-assemblies are easier to paint before final assembly. Add the small photo-etched parts last, using a drop of super glue rather than plastic cement.
