Tamiya Acrylic paints are formulated for both brush painting and airbrushing and can be used on styrol resins, Styrofoam, wood, and common model plastics. The paint covers well, flows smoothly, and can be blended easily. For airbrushing, it can be thinned with Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner for proper application.

Metallic Blue (X-13) has a glossy metallic finish and is particularly useful for recreating the distinctive cockpit interior color of Japanese aircraft. It can also be used for metallic details on aircraft, armor, vehicles, ships, and other scale models.
