The USS Forrest Sherman is an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided missile destroyer of the United States Navy. Commissioned in 2006, DDG-98 was named for Admiral Forrest Sherman and represents a later Flight IIA configuration of the highly successful Arleigh Burke class.

Trumpeter's 04528 kit contains 515 parts and can be built as either a full-hull or waterline model, giving ship modelers flexibility in how they display the finished destroyer. The kit includes a detailed upper and lower hull, waterline plate, main deck, separate sonar, photo-etched detail parts, and a display stand for the full-hull configuration.

The kit also includes two SH-60 Seahawk helicopters, making it possible to add additional visual interest to the completed display. Clear plastic components are provided for the bridge, while photo-etched parts are included for railings and safety nets.

At more than 17 inches long, this 1/350 scale Arleigh Burke-class destroyer makes a substantial display piece for modern naval modelers.
