The Trumpeter Sweden Strv 103B MBT (00309) is a 1/35 scale plastic model kit of Sweden's famous "S-Tank." The finished model measures about 248mm long and 99.6mm wide, and the kit includes 230 plastic parts on 4 sprues plus the hull and tracks, with decal markings for the Swedish Army.

The Strv 103 is a Swedish main battle tank of the Cold War, built without a traditional rotating turret. It entered production in the 1960s, and about 300 were built. Sweden designed it turretless to give it a very low profile and reduce its vulnerability while fighting from forest positions against a potential Soviet invasion. The main gun is fixed in the hull and aimed by turning the whole tank and tilting it on its adjustable suspension, which is why some have called it a tank killer rather than a conventional main battle tank.

The Strv 103B was the main version of the S-Tank through the 1970s and early 1980s, before the fleet was upgraded to the more capable Strv 103C. It makes a standout piece next to conventional turreted tanks and pairs naturally with the 103C.

Beginner-Friendly Note: Plan your painting before you start. Many sub-assemblies are easier to paint before final assembly. Use thin plastic cement sparingly and test-fit major parts before gluing.
