Vallejo Model Air Tire Black (71.315) is a matte, water-based acrylic paint formulated especially for airbrushing scale models. This dark, slightly softened black shade is ideal for reproducing the appearance of rubber tires and other black rubber components without the harsh appearance of pure black.
Model Air paints are formulated for smooth and consistent airbrush application while helping preserve the fine surface detail found on scale models. Tire Black is especially useful for military vehicles, aircraft, automobiles, armor, and other subjects featuring rubber tires, tracks, hoses, and flexible components.
The 17ml eyedropper bottle allows precise paint dispensing while helping reduce drying and evaporation between uses. Tire Black can also be useful for shadows, undercoats, and other dark details where a softer black appearance is desired.
Beginner-Friendly Note: Vallejo Model Air is formulated primarily for airbrushing and is easy to work with. For best results, apply over a properly primed surface using several light coats rather than one heavy coat.
